Late September brought the most spectacular array of mushrooms to Stillhouse that we have ever seen. They covered the forest floor on green moss and old dry leaves of last year, a few newly fallen, as hints of fall to come.

Red, pale green, yellow, gold, earthy brown, white as snow, pink to a blush, royal indigo to delicate lavender, umbrellas to shed the rain, brackets, cups to catch the rain, gills and pores shedding countless spores assuring another year of color, shapes and beauty.
